Once again I am not sure where this is going but as the old saying goes, we’ll strum it and see.

The first guitar I had in the early 1960s was an Ecko, it was built like Frank Bruno and would not stay in tune but was ideal for traveling, I once put it on top of a pile of luggage on a bus in Afghanistan, stopped for a meal only to find that the luggage had been transfered to another bus to continue the journey and Frank Bruno was now at the bottom of the pile, by the time we got to Herat the pile had grown and included a couple of tribesman, when I finally retrieved it it was totally unscathed. I sold it in Delhi to an Indian rock band called the Living Dead and brought a Sitar from a Sitar shop in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, the same place the Beatles had acquired theirs. I still have the Sitar but never got round to playing it. The next guitar I had was an acoustic Levin, a fine guitar which I brought second hand in 1969 and still own today but time has not been kind to it (its been repaired three times) but it has a lovely bass tone. My currant acoustic guitar is a Sigma and we have been good friends for twenty or so years, I also have a custom built Telecaster which is not played as much as it deserves.
