IMPA SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE

BHS – IMPA Scholarship Assistance

The purposes of the BHS-IMPA scholarship program is to supplement BHS resources for student music activities to ensure that all students have fair and equal opportunity to participate in private music lessons, trip and other music activities. IMPA provides opportunities for students to raise their own funding through Student Account fundraisers, and offers a modest scholarship program for additional costs.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Students and Parents should print out and complete a Scholarship Application Form for  Lessons or Trips. The form must be signed by the student, parent, and (if applicable) lesson teacher, and submitted to the IMPA Scholarship committee in the IMPA Mailbox in the BHS administrative offices.

Scholarship applications for lessons will be accepted on a continual basis (and remember scholarships will NOT pay for lessons already completed). Scholarship applications for trips or other music events will be due by a deadline announced in class and on the IMPA website (www.impa-bhs.org).

Scholarship applications are evaluated by the IMPA Scholarship committee, which consists of at least one IMPA officer and two parents. Scholarship decisions will be made no later than 2 weeks after submission (or deadline date). Results will be communicated to the student, the student’s parents, and (if applicable) the instrumental music teacher.
