The training will be held at Richland Baptist Church off G-Way in Richland from 9:30 – 1:30 pm. We have lined up talented speakers from within our own clubs and a hot and hearty lunch is provided. For questions please contact your Area Governor or Division Governor Sandra Maine at smaine @ owt.com. Topics include
1) Lessons Learned: an open forum among the clubs to discuss situations that happen in your club and how to move the club forward in today’s environment
2) Club Leadership: this session shares how we can grow our club into an exciting dynamic culture by embracing leadership and in doing so breathe new life into our club while maintaining the integrity of the Toastmasters Program
3) Speech Contest Rule Changes
4) Why Am I in Toastmaster?: discover ways to showcase your skills through speech contests. An area contest participant tells their story.
5) Introducing Humor: We can tell a funny story and share a laugh – but putting humor into a boring speech isn’t always easy – uncover the secret to successfully incorporating humor into everyday topics.
6) High Performance Leadership: learn the next step in Advanced Toastmasters and find out how you can put this program into action for you.

I am not a public speaker, but my confidence and ability to speak out in meetings and share my ideas has grown tremendously since joining Toastmasters. The environment of the club helps us communicate with other people and receive feedback on what works and what works better (did you catch I didn’t say what “doesn’t” work?). Come to our club and find out the magic – you won’t regret it!!
