Resort & Spa!
Thanks for taking a leap to our Maui Photo Festival & Workshops page. We’ve been working for over a year to put together the
best (and first) photography festival in the islands. It is set for September 16-20, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa.
If you’re just learning digital photography or have a new digital camera, we have all of the basic training that a novice would need. If you’re an intermediate ready to take your photography to the next level, we’ve got the course material and instructors to get you there. And if you’re looking to create or build your photography business, we have the professional-level instructors who usually teach at PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) conventions.
As a Photojojo subscriber, we are offering you the rate reserved for Hawaii pro photographers — the $200 off festival rate of $695. Enter the code PHOTOJOJO in our online checkout process (go to the Book It! page) and you’ll get the full festival for $495.
Now we know what you’re going to say next: “I can’t afford to fly off to Maui!” Well you should know that hotel room prices are lower than they have EVER been before. Do a www.hotwire.com search of Lahaina, HI hotel rooms and you’ll see that you can stay in the Kaanapali resort, which is where we’re are centered, for less than $100 a night. (Even the 4-star hotel in Kaanapali is less than our Maui Photo Festival convention rate.) Ten minutes south in Lahaina town, there is a 2.5-star hotel for $79/night. If you’re a kamaaina, the discounts are equally good.
And while you’re Internet surfing, check out the airfare. The west coast prices have been going up and down but we’ve been getting presenter airfare from the east coast for almost half what it should be. If you’re patient and flexible, you’ll be rewarded.
Shooting a wedding on the weekend? We have a weekday rate that includes the regular on-site sessions for Thursday, Sept. 17 and Friday, September 18 for just $395.
If you can only join us on the weekend, we have a Weekend Warrior rate of $395 for all of the regular sessions on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2009.
For students or teachers (valid student ID/credentials must be presented when you pick up your packet on Maui), the full festival rate is $395. Email rich@mauiphotofestival.com to get this rate.
Make sure you write down the code because once you leave this page, you can’t get back. (If you have a friend who might be interested, you can share these codes with them.)
But make your decision soon. Airline and room rates may start to climb back up, the closer we get to our September dates. So click on the NEXT link below to find out about our event. Don’t miss the PROS and CLASSES pages (a downloadable schedule of classes is available there) to see the great program that we’ve assembled.
