At the Scheck Family Religious School, we strive to instill a dedication to Torah, G-d, Israel, and the Jewish People, which are at the heart of our tradition. As a “family focused” school, our goal is to provide the educational tools for our children and families to learn and observe together. The ability to read Hebrew, and a basic knowledge of the essence and meaning behind our tefillot, prayers, provides our students with the ability to participate in all aspects of synagogue life. It is our goal that each student, as well as their families, feel a connection to the synagogue, to Israel, and to the Jewish community, as a central feature of their lives.
By celebrating and observing the Jewish holidays and Shabbat, both at Beth Torah and at home, families will be able to maintain Jewish life and tradition. Through teaching Jewish values and ethics, we want our students to understand that all Jews are connected to and responsible for one another, the Jewish community, and the world around them. As our students live these values, they grow to understand the importance of bringing Judaism into every aspect of daily life. At Beth Torah, a religious education will result in a strong, positive Jewish identity that will last a lifetime.
We don’t just teach Judaism to our children, we create positive Jewish family experiences whose memories last forever.
