On an old mining claim in the
harsh desert located an hour’s
drive beyond the outskirts of
Yuma, Arizona, Allen
Armstrong once ministered
alongside Wayne Bent to
members of the Lord Our
Righteousness Church. That
was more than 14 years ago.
And times have certainly changed. While Armstrong remains at Castle Dome, any loyalty to Bent is
long gone.
In Return to Castle Dome, part 2, Armstrong speaks about topics ranging from Bent’s intimate relationship with his son’s (Jeff Bent’s) former wife...to his reasoning behind his belief that Bent is a possessed man and a threat to the lives of his followers.
Bent gets his chance to respond to Armstrong’s
criticisms, and does so. Return to Castle Dome,
part 2 includes rebuttals provided by Bent via e-mail
while the LOR leader was 18-days into his “final
fast.”
A bit more about the back story: According to
Armstrong, he owned a third of the land
while the LOR lived at Castle Dome. He said that two
other ministers (to include Wayne Bent)
each owned a third of the land, too.
Armstrong told Beyond90Seconds.com that when the
LOR left Castle Dome, he acquired the entire
property in a deal that saw him give the church
property he’d owned in Idaho.
As of this writing, Wayne Bent faces criminal charges---including sexual contact with minors---in New Mexico. He has repeatedly stated that he is innocent.
Bent’s trial is set to begin on December 8, 2008 in Taos.
