These words, spoken by an enthroned and glorious Jesus to John in the book of Revelation are, to me, the most profound words in all the Bible. In them we find the whole story from beginning to end of God’s redemptive purpose and work on earth through His son, and the essence of His being which is endless renewal and creation flowing freely and abundantly from the dance of love, joy and unity of the trinitarian fellowship.

The Lord exhorts us in Isaiah 43:19:

See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the desert

and streams in the wasteland

This website is about a new thing God is doing now.  It’s about a desert through which He is making a way and a wasteland into which He is bringing streams of living water... quite literally.  For this website is a conversation about food in all its myriad facets from how it is produced and distributed to how we prepare and consume it and all the implications those activities have for people and the earth, especially within the context of the Great Command and the Great Commission.

I say a Christian conversation because the filter for any conversation for Christians is the Bible and the truths and wisdom we find there.  But all are welcome to join the conversation because everyone eats.

So, come one, come all to the Table of the Lord, let the feasting begin!
