HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!

HAPPY 35TH ANNIVERSARY WEST ORANGE KIWANIS!

Lakeview Middle Builder’s Club members and Maxey Elementary K-Kids helped decorate the float, the tree and wished everyone a “Merry Christmas!”  Thank you to Tina Hambuch and her quilting and sewing friends for all their nimble fingers preparing the toys and quilt covering for the truck. Thanks to Todd Paquette for letting us use the truck again this year and driving with all that precious cargo! A special thanks to Cathy Errion from Maxey Elementary, Megan Whyte and Christine Szymanski from Lakeveiw Middle, and members: Dianna, Shirley, Margaret, Tina, Jim, Cathy, Todd and Loretta who helped make the parade float a success.

Kiwanis is a global, non-profit organization whose mission is to reach out to their local communities and offer leadership for both youth and adults while making their community a better place to live, work and play. Our focus is primarily on kids.

Kiwanis Name
The name “Kiwanis” means “we trade” or “we share our talents.” It was coined from an American Indian expression, Nunc Kee-wanis.

Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great

things happen!

As Kiwanis clubs and members, we see it everyday!
