Program Description

In this course students will experience the career opportunities available to you after a focus on Graphic Communications and begin to learn to use the skills, applications (Computer Programs), tools and equipment that you will need to be proficient in when embarking on a career as Graphic Designer, Producer or Technician.

In addition to extending your expertise using appropriate applications, tools and equipment, you will develop a portfolio and practice employability and interpersonal skills.  You will be actively involved in collaborating with students of different departments to create school related projects like Inkwell, the Kell High School Magazine.

Students will progress to learning proper output skills, applications, tools and equipment needed to be proficient in the technical aspects of the Graphic Communications industry.  Many of your responsibilities will involve live work and hired projects utilizing customer service skills as well as technique and creativity.

Parents

I am very proud to have your students in my class.  We are working hard every day to create an exciting and challenging learning environment full of collaboration and success.  This website is one of the ways that we will showcase the skills and talents that we are cultivating.  I hope you check back regularly to check things out and show off your son’s or daughter’s excellent work. I will be updating this site regularly with blogs that include working projects, suggestions, reminders and links to other great Kell Programs.  I look forward to meeting or hearing from you.   Thanks for your time,

David Burch
