About Linda Kelly
Linda Kelly is an artist interested in discovery and exploration at all times. She is a licensed, certified art teacher, holding a Master’s degree in Arts Education. A former art teacher at the Rockport Middle and High schools in Massachusetts, she is currently the Visual Arts Director of ArtHarbor of Cape Ann and has developed and taught art classes and workshops for Art Harbor for the past 9 years, including programs for ArtHarbor’s popular SummerArts Camp at Windhover, the Arts for the Young and Big and Messy Art preschool programs at the Rockport Community House. She has recently begun directing the newly formed ArtCorps, a program through which HS students participate in beautification and community improvement projects around Cape Ann.
Ms. Kelly is an award winning artist who’s past projects include commissioned mural painting for developmental facilities in Northern California. She has works in private collections in California, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Switzerland. Her series of portraits depicting children from all corners of the globe: Children of the World will also be highlighted in an upcoming show, Rhythmic Figure, in New York City (December 2009) She is currently working on printmaking projects, a series of works entitled Boarder Crossings and a new series of portraits of children closer to home: Children of Cape Ann.
