I’m closing up shop here for a while and will return after July ... in a new province and a new home and possibly even a new car. Poor Benny’s been written off - so unexpected with just a lousy fender-bender. Everything’s in upheaval ... today was spent up to our ears in stress ... so I’ll leave my blog, my happy space, with scenes from the sink last night. If it weren’t for our baby darling, Levi and I would be burying our heads in the sand. Avery’s been so patient through all our madness but is starting to wear a little thin with the lack of proper attention and diversity in her days. Into the sink she went for something new.

Well hello, growing girly! Our little bird is ten months old today and is more and more ready to take on this big world. She’s an explorer, so curious, and so interested in everything. She’s more determined, more opinionated, more set on doing what she wants. But ... she’s still our content and patient girly ... those traits are merely overshadowed a little this month with her new ability to get around. Her commando crawling is doing the trick, and just today she went a few paces on knees and hands. Won’t be long now before she’s a certified crawler.

I don’t want to complain and really I don’t feel like complaining or whining or poor-me-ing. Just needing to take a little minute to *sigh*. This is just a “here’s where we’re at” hello and how are you post.

Three more days to pack up and finish all our important to-dos. I’m actually enjoying the bustle of packing this time. It’s a little satisfying to pack in puny little spurts ... one box at a time - filled, taped shut and labeled. I find it amusing that we’ve just now purchased an awesome packing tape dispenser with what we’re hoping will be our last move in a long time.

Our days are filling up as we’re counting down the days we have left in Kelowna. One more week for Levi (along with the contents of our apartment) ... and about two and a half weeks for me and the baby (we’re lagging behind a bit). We jammed a whole bunch of good stuff into this weekend ::

Today is a day for doing nothing ... or at least close to nothing. Avery is taking deliciously long naps, it’s cool and rainy outside, I don’t have any boxes to even begin packing (threw them out in a total lack of foresight), and every other day this week has been all a flurry of activity so surely one day won’t hurt the to-do list too much. Of course the regular tasks like vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry are all staring at me from their respective corners. Instead, I’m ...
