I’m a professional philosopher (that sounds crazy). I have a BA in English and in Philosophy. I went to the University of Washington in Seattle for my undergraduate work. I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I am currently employed in the Philosophy Department at California State University Long Beach.
I work in early modern philosophy, particularly in the 17th century. I also work in philosophy of religion.
I regularly teach Introduction to Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, and MA courses in history and philosophy of religion.
I’m a native Californian. But I’m not a native of SoCal. I don’t like the sun. I find it oppressive. What am I doing here? I ask myself that everyday…
