Welcome to the World of Devon Springer

Devon Springer has celebrated her passion for art all her life. Devon’s art career started in the Los Angeles area, where she graduated with a major in Fine Arts from El Camino College.

Shortly after graduating, Devon married and had two children, Marci and Matthew. She continued her training in art with emphasis on color, texture, and light. Over the next fifteen years, she also expanded her interests to include interior design and the development and remodeling of real estate.

Upon moving to Rancho Santa Fe in 1986, Devon’s artistic talents were again extended into the area of furniture design. Initially creating custom English style patio benches, she grew this business to include both outdoor and indoor furniture under the Devon Designs label. Locally, she had a Flower Hill Mall store in Del Mar from 1989 though 1995 where she offered her popular furniture pieces in addition to interior design services.

Now able to dedicate her energy full time to the arts, Devon Springer’s goal is to become an artist of merit. Her number one priority is to paint daily. Devon would classify her style as free, loose and representational. Her passion is painting landscapes and using her mind to play upon her imagination and transfer this onto canvas. She aspires to achieve a natural look…not contrived, but very spontaneous.

Devon is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe Art Guild and regularly participates in various exhibits. Devon’s inspiration comes from Early 20th Century artists’ use of color, light, and form. Her favorite studies include Milton Avery, Vasily Kandinsky, Renior, and Monet. Additionally, she has studied under Sebastain Capella, Carolyn Anderson and Mc Neil Sargent.
