Johnson’s Journeys
Johnson’s Journeys
January 11, 2010. We’ve had a wonderful beginning to our first summit out this year. We are at a church that experienced the presence of God for nearly 11 months. At the beginning of their “revival” they met for 40 straight days. That took place in 2006. It’s been 40 months since God moved here in 2006 and we and the church is praying for God to move again.
January 1st, 2010. We begin a new year and a new decade. We are really getting some lake effect snow. It’s just beginning. (see New Years Snow pics).
December 29 - I forgot to share some really big news. We have been praying for a new trailer for almost two years now. (Janet has probably been praying for one longer than that). Anyway, they started work on it in October and I was able to go pick it up last week and we are moving into it. We are so excited. (see Trailer Pics)
December 24 - It is so good to be home for the holidays. I’ve been working hard on the basement. I finished off a bedroom and bathroom just in time for 11 holiday visitors. (see Basement Projects) We had a great time playing in the snow. (see Snow Fun)We will be packing up next week to get ready to the hit the road again. We are looking forward to celebrating Jesus coming in the flesh.
October 29 - We have been at home for the past four days. We will be starting our next summit this Sunday, Novermber 1st, in Portland, IN. After that we will be back for the holidays. We had a wonderful time back in Vermont (see Fall and Snow) and in Elida, OH. We heard some wonderful testimonies. (read them on the testimonies page)
October 6 - We are back in Vermont for our 3rd summit. I recently added some testimonies from Duxbury and several photo albums of pictures taken over the past few days. Comments can be left on the blog page, testimony page and on individual pictures. You can also download any of the pictures with the click of a button.
September 22 - We had a beautiful drive from Vermont down to Duxbury, MA. (check out the photo album: Vermont to Mass)We are only a few miles from Plymouth, the cradle of our society. What a wonderful place for God to birth revival again.
We had a good meeting in Vermont. It was just a four day follow-up to a summit a year ago. It was a blessing and a great place for our team to “get its feet wet.” We were blessed to hear nearly an hour of testimonies of what the Lord was doing in hearts.
I also added some new pics in the Vermont photo album.
September 13 - We just finished the first day of our first summit. Actually it isn’t a full summit, just a four day follow-up. The team was here exactly a year ago while we were still building the house. We are in northern Vermont in Waterford. It took us three days to get here from Michigan. We traveled through Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York to get here. The last five hours of travel was beautiful. One night we stopped by Erie, PA, as the sun was setting on Lake Erie. [See some travel pics in Vermont Photo Albums and new Blog entries.]
September 6 - Just wanted to give a trailer update. Some of you may know that Life Action has been in the process of trying to raise enough funds for us to get a new trailer. Praise the Lord, as of two days ago, we were given permission to place an order. I spent three whole days with the builder putting the plans on paper. We hope (and he thinks he can) have it built and ready to go around Christmas time. That would be wonderful if we could start the new year in a new trailer. [We took some family pics today behind our house. Check them out in the photo albums]
August 23 - Only two more weeks before we head out. Our team was in a local church this morning getting their feet wet a little. The other revivalist I travel with, Wilson Green, was preaching today. I’m so glad that he was, because I was at home in bed with an eye problem. I’ve got a speck in my eye. After 24 hours I’m still having problems. Other special events today include a ministry wide baptism service at the lake. I was able to baptize Hannah. We so rejoice in this. You can watch it on the Photo Albums: Baptism page.
August 1st - We have had a delightful time at home this summer. I (Laine) have had numerous things on my “to do” list, yet we have been able to enjoy our new home. God has richly blessed us.
We are just beginning our staff training here in beautiful Michigan. The summer temperature has been wonderful. Twenty-three of the past twenty-five days have been below average. Our average over the past month has probably been a high of 80 and low of 60. All of our Southern friends will no doubt be envious.
We will be training our new team for the next six weeks before we hit the road again. We are looking forward to working with this years team and look forward to giving reports along the way.
Be sure a check out recent blogs and photo albums which I will update periodically. Fill free to add comments on those pages where you have opportunity. Comments can be left on testimonies, blogs and individual pictures.
