Hello! I am actually writing this from camp at West Wilkes Middle School. We have completed all of our work to prepare for the next camp week and we are just hanging out, talking.
Last week was a pretty good week. My groups did an excellent job on their projects. Their work was of a high quality. I hardly had to help them at all! We did 2 construction projects last week: 1 flooring project and a wheelchair ramp (shown above). I really enjoyed talking with some of the adults and getting to know them better, as well as receiving some much needed words of advice from them. It was really neat to hear from one of the adults about his son, who moved to California on the calling of the Lord and how the Lord provided for his son in some amazing ways.
I just ask that you would pray for my close brother-in-Christ, as he serves the Lord abroad this summer. Also, pray for the people of the Xianjiang province in Western China, specifically in Urumqi, as they are witnessing a lot of racial violence. From what I read, racial tensions between the Uighurs and the Han are very serious and long-standing. Please pray for peace there.
This is one of my CMGs on their newly finished ramp.
