Calming The Storm: Being Prepared For Anything

Members of the suburban communities adjoining Northwest Dallas met for an afternoon to hear emergency experts. We asked questions. Networked. Planned for more. We couldn’t have done it without the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Wade Lillie was our host at the Tech Learning Center in Farmers Branch. Anne Acuna of the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce was our photographer and prime supporter throughout the planning process. Celeste Sauls-Marks of The Volunteer Center of North Texas gathered the experts, filled the bags with info and moderated our conversation.

We talked about how we as individuals can better prepare for ANY abrupt change in our normal routine. We also discussed how our nonprofits, churches and businesses could support our emergency experts.
