Keb’ Mo’ “America the Beautiful” Music Video

Three-time Grammy award winner, blues singer-songwriter-guitarist, Keb’ Mo’ arranged a soulful interpretation of the anthem “America the Beautiful”.   It  skips past patriotism, struggle and politics and instead embraces a higher vision for the country by honoring its integrity and believing in its highest good.

Inspired by the beauty of America that Keb’ Mo sings of, Producer, Kia M. Kiso and Director/Director of Photography, Tommy “Maddox” Upshaw intended to promote pride and affinity by honoring American people, their lives, their dreams.  Truly, the beauty of America is seen in the portraits of American’s themselves - all shapes, sizes, colors, personalities.

As part of a contest, the filmmakers crafted the music video for the 5th Elevate Film Festival.  They had seven days to plan, shoot and finish the project.  They spent a modest $1100 and they had the privilege of working with top quality, talented actors, crew and technicians.

See your beauty, see the beauty in all of the people around you,

see the beauty in of all the world’s citizens.
