What’s On My Easel?
What’s On My Easel?
I painted this scene once before and gave it to my friend Bob who is in the painting. This is a larger version, 10 x 8.
The photo reference was taken in the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City , Missouri a couple of years ago when we went with friends Bob and Paul , Kathy and Mona. Also in the painting in the blue shirt front left is my husband Larry.
This museum, built in 1933, has this beautiful Atrium cafe patterned after an Italian Garden with live trees, a fountain and on a sunny day, lots and lots of sunlight. The golden stone glows in the light.
