Denise L. Boushie, 53, of Johnson City, had a peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, after a seven year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; son, Ryan; daughter, Brooke; stepson, Dylan, his wife, Audra; grandchildren, Saige, Cassidy, Trevor, Kendall, and Joshua; sisters and brothers-in-law, Suzanne and Chuck, Carol and Bob, and Mimi and John; brothers and sister-in-law, Norman, and Steve and Tammy; many nieces and nephews; and best friends, Gina, Kris and Janie; and her neighbors, Maryanne and Lee, Tom and Mary, and Sal and Rose. Denise was once a member of a blues band known as "The Persuaders." She loved bicycling, friends, family, and kitty cats. She was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

At Denise's request, there will be no funeral services and her body has been donated to medical research.
