sunset YOUTH hoops players, coaches, and parents,

I know a lot of you are a little sad right now because we ended our summer season tonight but let me assure you this much.
The parents and coaches are so extremely proud of every one of the players in this year’s program.
I have always stressed the emphasis on team building and giving your best effort.

If you had fun this summer, we won.
If you got better in hoops this summer, we won.
If you became better friends with someone else on this team, we won.
If you someone drew closer to Jesus through all the fellowships and team devotions, we won.
If you shared a hearty laugh with your team mates and your coaches, we won.

I had to stay an extra night in Canada because United Airlines had mechanical issues with my plane, so I missed the last game at El Camino tonight.
But I know in my heart that each of you gave it your best effort and supported your teammates as best as you could.
