Before talking about our condo and showing you more pictures,  I want to tell you about Kaanapali Villas.  We looked a long time before buying here on the Island.  There are many ads for “on the beach” hotels, and resorts.  Many have less than good swimming and many are very densely built up.  Their beach may rocky or require you to drive or walk to good swimming.  We chose Kaanapali Beach because it is clear and sandy all up and down the beach in front of Kaanapali Villas.  200 yards North up the beach you can snorkel among the coral reefs and view the many species of tropical fish here on Maui.  For swimming there is a mile of pure sand as far as the eye can see in either direction.  To the north are  five private homes directly next to us before coming to the Maui Westin time share resort.  Continuing South all the way to black rock there is nothing but soft sand and lovely swimming.  There is now a continuous walking sidewalk path for about 5 miles all along the Kaanapali Beach coastline for joggers or those who want to walk on something solid rather than sand. The path winds you all the way to Whalers Village just south of Black Rock.

Kaanapali Villas is on 11.5 acres with a total  of 260 units.  Ours is one of only 4 ground floor condos that have two full bedrooms each with their own private bath and a powder room.  Two couples can have the privacy of their own bedroom suite while sharing the living space and gourmet kitchen of a luxury home.

We also have a pullout sofa bed and floor mattresses for additional children and a high chair  and a Park N Play should you need them.

We face a beautiful green lawn landscaped and privately shaded by palms and trees.  If you take 200 steps directly off of our lanai you arrive first at the pools and lawn above the sand and then the ocean.

Our location back from the pools offers a bit more quiet for peaceful lanai reading and dining with easy access to the beach for multiply swims a day.

The pool has a jacuzzi after an ocean swim and a 1 1/2 feet deep small children’s area pool within the larger pool and fountains.  We have made available our in house washer and dryer, and boogie boards snorkels and fins for the adventurous.

Of course from Dec.-March you can take the kinds of pictures I did as the whales come here each year to give birth and strengthen their babies for the trip back North.  It is said that about 4000 are here during this time.
