My sister Sherri is in town for a few weeks visiting from South Carolina - it’s always awesome when she comes, she fits right in with our routine/ madness. Well, one of her requests while in Minnesota was to go the Mall of America. So yesterday we hit the mall (one of my favorite places to go). The girls enjoyed some time on a few rides in the new Nickelodeon world (a little over-priced but the theme is a huge hit for my girls who are big fans of Spongebob and Dora to name a few). My sister got to do some shopping (as well as Lisa and I). The baby was awesome and the day was lots of fun. We capped off our day with a trip to “Annies” in Dinkytown - some great hamburgers for low cost and all the fries you can eat - yummy!
What an important time to just have no agenda and just be with the family. I’m realizing how healthy a thing that is for my spiritual life. I think when we don’t take the time, we can become unbalanced and we begin to only see life from one perspective or at least from a limited perspective. Sometimes it takes intentionally setting aside time to “broaden” your perspective where you begin to understand more clearly what matters and why you’re doing what you’re doing (it also helps you see what may need to change in life as well.)
All in all, a great day on so many levels.
