“I would like to invite everyone to a special concert on December 3rd, at the old Mat-Su Cinema, across from Brown Jug Warehouse in Wasilla.
For several years I’ve focused my attention on publishing Make-A-Scene, but my heart has always been with my music. For the last 6 months or so I’ve been working with the incredibly talented Meggie Aube, who plays the marimba! Yes, the marimba! I’m pleased that we’ve created a truly unique sound for songs I’ve been writing for years. This new sound is innovative and different from anything I’ve heard, blending two areas of music that are rarely, if ever, heard together.
After months of rehearsal, we are ready to share our musical efforts with the community, in a theater setting that is perfect for our sound. I am so excited for this chance to share something that is only the beginning of what will come.
Soon I’ll be leaving for tour, and although Meggie won’t be joining me for this first leg of the tour, we are planning to continue the tour together, indefinitely. When I return to Alaska, we will immediately begin working in the studio to produce an album of this music we’re making, but this concert on December 3rd will be our first performance together.
We’ll have two shows that day, one at 6 pm, the other at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for students. Also performing are special guests Corey Bjerken and Marian Call, two amazing musicians and songwriters.
Words can’t express how happy I am about the things to come, with this concert being the beginning. We have some excellent sponsors, including 49th State Street Records, Valley Arts Alliance, and Underground Live television, who are helping to bring a high quality production to this performance.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones, for what is only the beginning…
See you there!”
