Albemarle MD is Charlottesville’s and Albemarle’s mobile doctor. John F. Strazzullo, MD makes house-calls at your home, office, or hotel room every day of the week. A board certified Family Physician since 1994, Dr. Strazzullo is trained to treat both acute and chronic problems of patients of all ages. Although the practice is mobile, the goal is to deliver effective and efficient medical care through a strong, one-to-one, doctor-patient relationship. House calls allow Dr. Strazzullo to see patients in the convenience, comfort and privacy of their own home or office. House calls are low overhead and allow the doctor to spend significantly more time with a patient for the same cost.
PAYMENT
Albemarle MD does not accept insurance, payment is expected at the time of the service. For patients without health insurance or a health insurance policy with a high deductible, the rates are competitive with any doctor’s office. Patients with insurance may be able to submit the bill to their insurance company for reimbursement. We are glad to furnish an itemized bill and the appropriate forms for you to file with your insurance company, if requested.

BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Dr. Strazzullo moved to Charlottesville in 1980 to attend the University of Virginia and has considered it home since then. A graduate of U.Va.’s College of Arts and Science
s in 1983 and the School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Strazzullo was elected to AOA, the national medical honor society, during his fourth year. At graduation, he was named his class’ Outstanding Medical Student by The Medical Alumni Association. Dr. Strazzullo spent three years in Ventura, California completing a Family Practice Residency Program and then one year in Richmond, Virginia in a Family Practice Fellowship program at the Medical College of Virginia. For the past 15 years, Dr. Strazzullo has practiced Urgent Care and Family Medicine in Richmond and Charlottesville. He resides in Ivy with his wife and 3 young children.
