Las Vegas through my eyes
Las Vegas through my eyes
Las Vegas is a fascinating place to experience. There are several ways to look at this town. One way is to see it as a tourist destination. That makes Las Vegas about 4 miles long and 3 blocks wide. Another way is to view Las Vegas as a booming city that outgrows itself every day. (the current economic slowdown has changed that a little) Another way is to view it as Sin City where every imaginable sin can take place right before your eyes. Another way might be to view it as a resident. It has Home Depots, Taco Bells, Wal Marts, etc. It has a good parts of town, bad parts of town, working class neighborhoods, ethnic neighborhoods, etc. I think all of the answers are right, and more. Las Vegas is truly a melting pot of the best of the best, the worst of the worst, and everything that is inbetween. What makes it kinda special to me is that it is all crammed into a relatively small area.
I love Las Vegas. I like to think that I live a pretty conservative life. I like to study the history of Las Vegas. One of my slogans is that if you want to study the history of Las Vegas, you better pay attention to the present. It amazes me how much change can take place in such little time. This town is excellent at reinventing itself. It has seen more mood swings than a crazy woman.
