NBC Universal films added to the marketplace.

Microsoft held a big press briefing in London today. Entitled 'Play, Watch, Connect' the event saw a grab-bag of announcements including a content deal with NBC Universal to supply movies for the Xbox Live video-on-demand service. UK and Ireland customers will have access to 30 of the studio's films from today with more following on a regular basis.

New Left 4 dead update and Quake III on its way

A new update is out today for Left 4 Dead adding a range of tweeks and updates. The HUD has been changed in Versus mode to aid the Infected, while players can now only shift team once per game, and there's also now a better chance of getting the Tank or Witch class. There’s also a few other minor updates with Valve trying to get the Xbox version up to date with the PC version.

Also id Software multiplayer FPS Quake III Arena looks set for a resurgence in the near future, boss John Carmack telling Joystiq that a version of the game for the Xbox Live Arcade is very nearly ready.

It has also been confirmed that Volatile Games is hard at work on Dead to Rights: Retribution, a reimagining of the gritty crime drama franchise for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Lost planet 2 has been confirmed as the mystery capcom game with a trailer being released on to the marketplace today, click here to get it.

The new UT3 content is not coming to the Xbox 360 due to Microsoft licensing or something similar to that.

And if you’ve ever looked at your Xbox and thought ‘you know that would look so much better in red’. Then you may well be in luck. Various internet reports are stating that a red Xbox 360 elite is on the way to coincide with the release of Resident evil 5. There may well be a bundle including the game. The bundle will allegedly include a copy of the game, a red Xbox 360, a red controller, an "exclusive" Resident Evil 5 NXE theme, and a download coupon for Xbox Live Arcade's Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD.
