Those of us in the decorative concrete world have really seen things change in the past few years.. Stained concrete and patterned concrete have gone from “the alternative and inferior product” to becoming the worlds fastest growing flooring trend ever.

As the industry grows, Builders, contractors and homeowners are beginning to take notice of the many benefits that concrete flooring offers. However, it will never truly be accepted as a reliable and/or practical flooring solution until we can separate professional work from the Do-it-yourself results we see everywhere.

We have an ever-growing problem in our industry. It seams as though every paint crew, general contractor, and flooring installer has taken notice of the profitability of decorative concrete and have began offering this as a secondary service. As a result, almost every builder and contractor we have come across has a horror-story to tell about an experience they had with their last stained concrete job. The story is ALWAYS the same...

“Well, we had a company come out and stain this floor and now its all scratched up. the color was really splotchy and it looked like it was painted on, The sealer they put on it made it look real shiny, but after the homeowners moved in it started coming up in spots..It just looked terrible, they called the company to come fix it, but couldn’t get anyone to come out.”

These results are typical of the methods and application directions listed on the back of every gallon of acid stain sold. Driven to sell as much product as possible, the manufacturers want everyone to believe that great results can be achieved by anyone if they follow the steps on the bottle....

The laziness, inexperience, and the general ignorance of the vast majority of so called “stained concrete applicators” seems to be infectious. Botched Jobs are resulting in an overall distrust of the trade and quality applicators are losing business at the hands of these “fly-by-night” stain crews.

What is stained concrete exactly???

Acid stain is absolutely nothing like paint, it is not intended to cover the concrete. A chemical reaction with the existing minerals in the concrete creates new colors in the concrete surface. Due to inconsistencies in the surface of concrete, acid staining can create a variegated or mottled appearance that is unique to each slab. The thickness of this color change ranges from 1/16th to 1/32nd of an inch. This is why its called STAIN.

For the longest time we kept our process a secret. We always thought that somebody was going to rip us off and make a million off of our hard work. But we realized that unless we explained to you what made us different and provided you with detailed information we were no better than “the other guys”

So here it is......Our secret

Diamonds....no, not the sparkly ones. We are using the exact same methods to polish your concrete slab that are used to polish granite,marble, and other natural stones. We do this for two very important reasons;

First of all, It reveals the true character in the slab. Because a concrete slab is essentially a giant stone why can’t we do the same thing to it that we do to natural stone. Concrete is much like granite, until it is finely polished, it just looks like any other rock, or in our case, any other slab. Most of the character in many of the concrete floors done by our competition comes from the stain itself and the method of which it was applied. splotchy stain residue clings to the surface and hides the true beauty of the concrete below. Then it is smeared with a bucket of toxic sealer “artificial shine”. This is why you will never see close up images of our competitors floors. All you see is a shiny colorful floor.

By diamond polishing the concrete we are able to achieve a natural shine that requires absolutely no coatings or sealers. Try to think about it like this....Why would you want to protect on of the hardest surfaces known to man with a thin layer of sealer, a sealer that is guaranteed to scratch, scuff, peel, and flake, and eventually need to be stripped and re-applied. By Diamond polishing the slab we are absolutely giving you the smoothest and most durable natural seal available.

I Guess what Im trying to say is that we are offering a far superior product to the typical stain and seal application. And the best thing about it is the price! Starting at 4$ per sq.ft. there’s simply not another stained concrete floor on the market that can compete with this price.

We know there are folks out there staining concrete for $2.00 to $3.00 per sq.ft. But believe me, there’s a reason that the price is this low..If your trying to save money we understand, but keep in mind that it usually costs double to fix somebody else's mistakes.
