Although we are photographers, we don’t have many photos of ourselves. We believe the most important thing to grab if there were a fire is all of our photo albums. Nothing and I mean NOTHING can replace photos that are priceless. We really push that with our clients and everyone we know the importance of choosing the right photographer for your special day or event. They need to be able to capture the things you see and don’t see or were too busy to see. We look for the moments when our brides say, “When did you get that picture of us? I didn’t even realize you were there.” It is in those moments that the most genuine joy and happiness comes out, which then makes for a priceless photo.

If you know us, James and I are a pretty whacky couple. So just having serious lovey dovey photos are not enough. We always have to goof off. Photo #3, he gets that look from me a lot! LOL.

I was just rummaging through some old folders and found my graduation picture with my one and only sweetheart. We started dating in 2003, I graduated in 2004, and then we got married in 2005. Boy, does time fly! Unfortunately, we don’t have many photos from early in our relationship so this photo is very precious to me. For those of you who don’t know the loooonnnnggg story of how we met, here it goes. I’ll try to give the shortened version! : )

We met through his best friend Carlos, who he has known since 2nd grade. Carlos was supposed my friend-date to my homecoming, but at that time he wanted to go with a friend of mine that he had a crush on. Boys! At the last minute, he threw his best friend James into the loop of being my date. I had only met James once or twice beforehand, but figured he was cute enough to be my date. He was a great date, funny, and charming. We tried to get to know each other after that night, however, things just didn’t work out. We lost touch and never saw each other again. About 2 years later I got involved with a bible study group and had given my life to Christ. One night at bible study as I walk though the door, long behold who do I see, James. He did not know I attended the bible study nor did he know I had given my life to Christ. And little did I know but the week prior he had given his life to Christ. It took a couple of weeks for us to become interested in each other, but eventually sparks flew. According to him, the minute I walked through the door that night, he knew that I would be his wife. How sweet! God definitely works in mysterious ways. Its just tickles us how God let us meet beforehand, almost like a preview of our lives, but it wasn’t the right timing yet.

When we were preparing to get married we were told that every odd was against us. We were young and we are living in a world that doesn’t respect the sacredness of marriage. However, we knew that if the three of us were in it for the long haul, everything will work itself out. The three of us: God, James, and I. A three fold cord is not quickly broken, Ecclesiastes 4:12. Next to my salvation, marriage to James was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Love you honey! : )

It was a beautiful and sunny day with a nice breeze coming through the shelter to cool us down. But.... you know Florida, the humidity was still there. The day filled with boat and jet ski rides, games, and food, lots and lots of food. I would say it was a successful picnic for the Immanuel Chapel family. Feel free to visit our church. All are welcome!

Aren’t they cute with their lawn chairs sipping on lemonade???? Norma Jean and Forrest have been apart of this church family for a very, very long time. They are the hardest workers I know and one of the greatest man and woman of God.

And of course, last but not least, my husband. James is always doing something crazy, daring, and goofy.

He is so precious and such a ham for someone who is only 4 months old. I went to pose him on the pillow and since he can’t really hold himself up that well, he would roll off the pillow onto his back and wave his arms and legs helplessly just like a turtle who’s been turned over. Ha! It was so funny. I know I’m a mean aunt for putting him through that. But it was still so funny.

Sharayah, Ashlyn, James, and I wanted to surprise them with photos of both girls for their anniversary this Friday. We told the parents we were just “hanging out” but in reality we had a full blown photo shoot at the University of Tampa in Dowtown Tampa. Scott is a architectural nut, so this was the perfect place. It was funny because when we went to pick the girls up Angela told us the girls took two hours to get ready and she doesn’t understand what was different from all the other times we hung out. Lol. The girls debuted their parents anniversary gift this Sunday and they had no idea and were so surprised. It took Angela 15 minutes before she could call us because she needed time to “collect” herself. Love it when we hit the emotional button!! We had so much fun, here are my favorites from the day. Happy Anniversary Scott and Angela! We love you guys!

Sisters will be sisters! : )

My absolute favorite of the day!!!!!!! It’s so edgy and to think, it was shot in a parking garage! : )
