The dearest things in my life have been flowers, trees, the dogs I live with (and, of course, my husband!). The play of color, light and texture in all things enchants me. As a stained glass artist and floral designer, I am always working with these aspects of nature. I spend part of each day in the Arnold Arboretum in Boston, MA communing with the trees, earth and sky and it is here that I find my inspiration. Nature has so much to teach.
I have been busy “making things” since I can remember. Through the years, I have learned to design clothing, paint, knit, arrange flowers, make paper out of plants and flowers, design and make jewelry, refinish and cane chairs, design and hand hook rugs…. Because there are so many things that I see and imagine, when I am in my studio I know my hands will have a hard time keeping up with my vision!
