I have read several comments and post talking about the sense of community we feel at Crossfit UV and I have to add my testimony to those that have stated it before, Crossfit Utah Valley is a family. You all have made it into such. It's a camaraderie that is hard to find...Continue reading

I started Crossfit because a friend of mine looked amazing and I asked him what he was doing. He said Crossfit. I looked it up on the internet and found it interesting but hard to follow the WODS. So I asked my husband, Rick, to find a coach for a couple of months. We talked to Jeremy and the rest is history. Continue reading

Since starting CrossFit the single most exciting thing I have experienced is my ability to sit on the ground for an extended length of time to play with my kids. It has seriously been 5 years since I have been able to do that without having chronic pain and immobility. I can play Skip-Bo on the floor now and sit on a blanket for a picnic and concert. How cool is that! Continue reading

...Another reason I like Crossfit so much is because of the community. Every time I would try to get a muscle up, I would hear people behind me say, “Almost! Try again!” And then when I did get it, everybody cheered! Continue reading

My first reaction to it (crossfit) was that I thought it was something that only young people can do. At the time I was 51. I had a bad shoulder and bad knees and I did not think I could do a lot of things that the workouts required. I also thought that if I wanted to get in shape that I could do it on my own. After all I had been a coach and an athlete. Continue reading

Having been a loyal Crossfitter with CFUV for well over a year, I've noticed a substantial increase to my stamina, confidence and healthfulness in specific ways. Before Crossfit, I would barely have enough energy to get past the 2pm crash. After Crossfit, I look forward to my daily 5:30 workouts. Before Crossfit, I would be self-conscious of my body and would avoid public attention. After Crossfit, I have plenty of confidence.  Before, I would get a cold or illness about 4 times a year. After Crossfit, I have taken only 1 sick day since January 1, 2008.

Just a testimony to CrossFit I myself have lost a total of 8 inches in my waist and a full shirt size in about 9 months. I have met my first goal of a size 38 waist and am shooting for 36 by the mid of summer.

It really works!!!
