This is a quick DEMO of a site that could be interesting foR you TO ADD TO your web page.

This site makes it easy and fun to animate stories and PSA’s.

but be careful. Some content on the site is not appropriate for our students Internet Policy Guidelines. I wrote to the company about the neEd for a separate young studENt area. They sent me an email to let us know that they are working on a student version. Hooray!!!!

Another awesome tool I found is this convenient URL shrinker. If your URL is really large like this one:

http://web.mac.com/janeseswanson/CoyoteClickers/Clicks.html

You may find that when you cut and paste your URL information an email document, the URL trails off and goes onto the next line. Whoever you sent the link to doesn’t receive the appropriate address and would have to repair the link. This tool makes awkward processes such as this a thing of the past!

Many teachers are redirecting their school district blog page from their district websites in order to acquire more technology tools for their classrooms. These are usually low cost teacher web pages. The sites offer features that have significantly aided classroom communication.

What if our students were allowed to explore, share and correspond with each other via a protected system? When students write, read and comment on discussions, they gain and practice vital skills, as well as realize that what they say and think is important and valued.

What’s “say Wire”?
This website features a novel and protected way for us to work with new technologies online, through the use of academic Social networking, email, Twitter, and more! Perhaps soon we will have a social network for our students and their families here at Del mar. Classrooms will be able to have filtered communication tools, such as blogs, for students, as well as chatrooms, online polls and enotes. This is a great alternative to email, and it is safe for children of any age. Plus, Say Wire guarantees that we’ll never receive SPAM or unwanted communication!

It is very demanding and challenging for any educator, armed with limited resources and TIME to manage and keep up with ever evolving technologies and integration techniques. The good news is that the Internet is a giant Open Source of shared content. It may seem a bit intimidating, but harnessing some of the internet’s powerful and useful education content has never been easier! WEB 2.0 IS THE New TERM ASSOCIATED WITH THE LATEST and greatest TOOLS. It is BUILT UPON THE EARLY (HYPERTEXT) PIONEERS’ VISION FOR SHARED WEB CONTENT. In 2005, I CREATED the CLICKS WEBSITE FOR STUDENTS AND Continually update it FOR OUR FAMILIES. I am ALWAYS AWARE of our student’s safety AND am sure to post only CONTENT THAT IS PRE- VIEWED and RELEVANT TO OUR CLASSROOM SETTING and learning experience.

I HAVE DEDICATED THIS BLOG TO SHARING THE TECHNOLOGY AND CONTENT APPLICATIONs USED IN OUR EDUCATION SETTING.

What’s a widget?
A widget is a lightweight Internet application that can be easily embedded into a Web page. Widgets aren’t new--webmasters have been adding scripts & banners since the dawn of the internet age. This Doodle application is a great example of a fun and creative widget. Try it out! I amazed at how many millions of activitIes are available for use on a blog or website. I even added a Recess game area on the site for those lucky students who help me in the lab during recess! THE LIST OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPANIES ARE CREDITED IN THE COPYRIGHT SECTIONS OF THE SITE.
