Jay Floyd was the D..J. at my daughter’s wedding reception. We could not have been happier with his performance.
Jay showed up in a tux, perfectly groomed, just like the wedding party which was thoughtful, appropriate and unexpected. He arrived early and was completely set up and ready to go when the guests began arriving. His volume, clarity, and lighting effects were just right and there were zero technical glitches.
When he acted as the announcer, all names were pronounced correctly. His other master of ceremonies work was very appropriate and clear. He worked very well with me and my daughter, easily adapting to our special requests and direction and the flow of the party.
Several guests mentioned how nice it was that during dinner Jay played appropriate background music, at a much reduced volume. They had been to other weddings where it was difficult to converse at dinner when the music was too loud.
He played just what he was asked to play and adapted to the mood of the party as the night wore on. Importantly, he did not play music he had been asked not to play, despite some entreaties from guests. A testament to the success of his performance was that we extended the dancing by two hours.
I have put on and attended many parties with D.J.’s over the years. I have never had a better experience with a D.J. I give Jay my unqualified recommendation.

Eric and I wanted to say thank you for all you did to make our wedding day memorable. Having you handle every musical aspect of the day was one of the best decisions we made. You did such a wonderful job setting the right tone for each of the day’s elements - the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and , of course, the reception. Everyone had a great time and the proof is that they were all out of their chairs dancing! When else will we get to see our parents dancing to Billy Idol? Young and old - we all had such a memorable night - except for those who couldn’t exactly remember everything...! We were disappointed when the weather changed our plans, but you were so flexible and worked so well with the hotel staff that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. You had taken the time to figure out what was important to us and you stayed focused on that. Your experience and level of comfort with the whole night was very reassuring. One of my favorite moments with you was right after we came back from taking pictures. You suggested that I bustle up my wedding dress before is got caught on the wooden planks. Such great advice and I loved that it came from you - you really were thinking of us the entire time. Thanks so much for all you did.
