It didn’t take long for me to get the climbing bug. I went to the climbing gym the first time and that night when I closed my eyes I would see the wall. The next day I bought climbing shoes. Today will only be the third time to the gym and I can’t stop thinking about it. Climbing is weird, it isn’t fun like bicycles or skateboards are. Climbing, to me, is fun like puzzles are. Once I get my upper body in shape it should be a whole lot better. At the end I’m not tired at all, I want to continue but I just can’t. My arms and hands give out. I’ve started to nerd out on it too. I bought an instructional DVD and 2 books. I even bought a dyna-flex ball to strengthen my grip. Once I get in shape I want to go outside. Right now the gym is great but I can see it getting boring after a while. Anyway, for now I love it.
As far as resolutions go, I’m doing alright. I’m going today to pick up my skateboard pads and helmet. I’ll feel much better about skating concrete with those. I gotta tell you I wish Austin had an indoor skate park like Greenville does. I’ve been letting the weather keep me from going out. I’m cutting it close in the next two days I’ve got to do a century ride. I am so ready for spring to get here!
