Welcome to the home of H. Horne Sports Video
The most important thing you need to know about college football recruiting is that Video is the lifeblood of football. “The recruiting process can not start until you are evaluated on film” - words straight out of the mouth of TCU Coach Gary Patterson. With so much riding on your potential football recruit making a great first impression, wouldn’t you want to ensure that the video is absolutely the best it can be? A great Highlight video ensures the game film will get watched. I don’t say this casually, but I am the best at what I do because I understand what skills scouts are looking for from each position and I have a unique ability to mix video in such a way that the players first impression will be the best possible. The quality of my work, my references from High School coaches, and the results of my past clients speaks for itself. I get regular calls/texts/emails/facebook messages from college football coaches that recruit Central Texas. I’ll talk to anyone about any kid I know or have seen play even if they are not my client. The advantage of being a client of mine is that I can instantly direct them to video.
I don’t do weddings, I don’t do dance recitals. My expertise is focused squarely on recruiting for college football and other sports. I do all the tedious work. I do not and will never ask my clients to break down and time code their own film. I know exactly what coaches are looking for and I know how to mix a video in such a way as to grab a recruiters attention from the first play and keep it going from there.

The recruiting process is complicated and over whelming for everyone. There are plenty of free resources on the internet like Randy Rodgers Recruiting. If you or your child is 100% committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level, I strongly encourage you to consider retaining the services of College Promoters of Texas. Some folks have the time, energy and resources to take on the huge demands of preparing today’s High School student athlete for the college recruiting minefield - and more power to you if that is your situation. But, if want to make sure you have an expert guiding you, someone who has seen it all over the past 15 years in the business, you owe it to yourself and your HS student athlete to at least investigate what CPOTX has to offer the Texas HS student athlete.
College Football Recruiting 101
In 2010 my daughter Haelee signed her Letter Of Intent to play volleyball with Texas Wesleyan University. Click here to read the full story. From a parent’s perspective, the recruiting process is both hectic and stressful - even for us who think we are fully prepared and educated. What was interesting is that even in volleyball, a sport where players participate year round in School and Club levels - in tournaments throughout the state and country - dozens of schools interested in my daughter still requested video from her. Regardless of the sport, video has become one of the most important tools in the college sports recruiting business. With college costs topping $100k now, it is imperative you do your research on schools, the recruiting process for your sport and make sure you have a great recruiting video package to send out to prospective recruiters. Oh, and the relief and satisfaction watching your child sign on the dotted line is more than worth it.
Putting my knowledge to work for myself and family
