What We’re All About
Greenwood Laboratory School is a department of the College of Education at Missouri State University. Unlike the rest of this campus, Greenwood consists of kindergarten through seniors in high school. Faculty members utilize multiple teaching methods and encourage active student participation in the learning process.

Greenwood was established in 1907 as a training school for teachers and was soon named after longtime Missouri educator Dr. J. M. Greenwood, former superintendent of Kansas City Schools. Through the years Greenwood students have joined with their older counterparts in a variety of campus activities from May Day Celebrations to Christmas community service projects.

We’ll have the scoop soon on Greenwood’s centennial celebration with highlights from the first 100 years! Welcome Leadership Ranch
