SERVING THE APPALACHIAN AND LOCAL POOR: Springtime of Hope is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization formed in 2001 to assist the less fortunate in Appalachia with safe and secure housing. Realizing the need in our own backyard, in the winter of 2008, Springtime of Hope opened an emergency shelter for men in Akron, Ohio. We also have a mobile outreach program that travels into the cities of Akron, Barberton and Canton supplying food and clothing to the local poor and homeless, twice a week.
