It’s informative, clever, and brilliant.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Near the end Jhani Kaye (then of KOST) and Jon Wolfert are in post-production, spending many sleepless hours mixing the final cuts.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;“That cowbell,” says Jhani tentatively, “is it dating the sound?”.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Cowbell? &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;COWBELL?!! &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Wouldn’t a cowbell date a jingle even if it had been recorded in 1923?&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Our rule-of-thumb to jingle producers is that cowbells are probably always a bad idea, unless perchance you’re recording a jingle package for Radio Edelweiss.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;And here’s a Radio One jingle to prove it - odd harmonies, awful Americanised pronunciation of “cheerful TOON” and a bloody cowbell.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Moooo.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Bob&lt;br/&gt;</description>
