Browsing through my spam, Amazon has started a game download service and is offering three free full games until Feb. 10th. Build-a-lot, Jewel Quest II and The Scruffs. Simple enough. No Mac support, but what else is new?
As always, just posting to post some pictures. I am not immune to pictures of adorable puppies. Especially Daschunds. The Westminster Dog Show is next week. And a penguin for Seeshells.

The Soul Detective

I know, I know, I haven't been posting. I've been playing video games. OK, it's lamest excuse in the modern world.
Everyday, David Lynch twitters the weather in LA. Yea, it's his OCD thing. Oddly comforting. He's in a today's Thing, a short film called The Soul Detective. I didn't watch it, the Thing itch just came upon me.
Also, there's a bunch of pictures building up in my pic folder. I like Mark Ryden. Today's artist. His new book is The Tree Show.

Indie Games of the Year
I recently bought Mount and Blade on Steam. It's an RPG that focuses on multi-troop skirmishes on horseback. It's a pretty cool game where you can do the traditional RPG stuff and also fight FPS-style on the back of a horse. Tricky. A great looking game, made by a small publisher. TTOTD loves all things indie, out of the way and by smaller publishers; people making their fortunes in their garage and on the outsides of the system. Today's link pointer is to a site dedicated to indie computer games. indiegames.com. They have a bunch of features highlighting the best free games, a blog of new games and many guides to the best indie games.
Most of the games are for Windows, but there are a few Mac games and many web-based games. There's online games as well. Scour the site and you can easily find 50 free games you may not have heard anything about.

I didn't go away. I was just taking a break to upgrade the computer, added a terabyte drive and moved a bunch of files. I also decided just to do an entry when i have something. I actually have a bunch of free stuff and will get to them in time. Today is free fonts. Who doesn't like free fonts?
