How to Use Podcasts

Podcasting is a new way of delivery audio and video content over the internet. You will need to go to the Apple website and download iTunes if you don’t already have it on your computer.  The application works on both PC and Mac platforms and is free to download.  You can find the application at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. After installing the application, you are ready to subscribe to First Methodist Houston’s podcasts.

The ability to subscribe to a podcast is one of the real benefits of the technology.  Simply click the links above for our 8:45, 9 or 11 o’clock services.  Once you are there, you can either listen to a service online or you can subscribe to the weekly podcasts.  Hitting the subscription service will automatically open iTunes on your computer and then download the newest podcast to your computer.  You can then transfer it to an iPod or other mobile media device, listen to it on your computer or even burn it to a CD.
