The number of initiatives to enhance the uses of information and communication technologies in government has grown exponentially around the world. In this workshop we aim to facilitate an exchange among students and academics from various disciplines engaging the interplay of information and governance. Both theoretical and empirical contributions are desired. In conjunction with the INSPIRE conference in Krakow an emphasis of this workshop is on studies of the evolving implementations of the INSPIRE directive across the EU and co-existence with established and evolving national geographic information policies.
Researchers working currently on projects and participants involved in research are encouraged to submit a summary of their work and apply online. Web pages for registration and abstract submission are accessible through this website or directly.
Additional information about the workshop including information about last year’s SDI PhD workshop and travel information is also available. The Krakow workshop complements the global SDI PhD Research workshop taking place at the 2010 GSDI meeting in Singapore.
