Dear Parents and Friends,

We are proud to share with you that Fenton Avenue Charter School is now a Certified Charter School! On September 18 when the California Charter Schools Association publicly announces our school’s accomplishment, Fenton Avenue Charter School will be recognized as a model of excellence among all public schools. In addition to sharing this wonderful news, I want to personally thank you for your integral part in helping us achieve this level of distinction. This program is the first of its kind in the nation, and we are proud to be setting that example!

The Certified Charter Schools Program is sponsored by the California Charter Schools Association as a way to showcase charter schools across the state, like ours, whose commitment to high quality and continuous improvement sets us apart from other public schools. In order to become a Certified Charter School, our school successfully demonstrated a strong focus on student achievement and operational integrity by achieving positive results and undergoing a rigorous external school review process aligned with the Association’s Quality Standards for Charter School Operations. These standards cover five areas crucial to school quality:

•A Continuous Focus on Increasing Quality

•Fiscal Accountability

Our commitment at Fenton Avenue Charter School to you and our broader community is to offer your child the highest quality educational experience possible, and to continuously improve so that all children succeed. The Certified Charter Schools Program has given Fenton Avenue Charter School external validation on the areas where we excel and helpful recommendations for improvements to ensure we live up to our commitment well into the future.
