Silver Forge Farm

Welcome! The West Windsor Community Farmer’s Market is well underway and we are harvesting head lettuce (the oakleaf, buttercrunch, and frisee are still going strong), lecinato (“dinosaur”) kale, green onions, and beets - detroit dark red and chiogga. The first round of snapbeans should be ready next week - this planting is “dragon langerie”, a great cream and red speckled Italian wax bean, and we’re letting the potatoes grow a bit more - though we’re sneaking some baby ‘taters out from under the mulch every once in a while.

The hens are steadily increasing their egg production, so your cartons should just get more varied in color from here on in - we have green, brown, and white egg layers this year, with lots of shades in between.

We have a honey harvest planned for the end of July, so keep your eyes open. Our raw, unfiltered honey sells out quickly, and is wonderful for allergies since it’s chock full of local pollen!

A small scale family farm in Central New Jersey offering organic vegetables, free range eggs, honey and dairy goats. We use sustainable practices to grow food for our family and yours.
