It’s actually very good. It tastes and has a similar texture to kiwi. This is just sweeter and not acidic at all. Or even the cross between a grape and kiwi taste. It also is a little more gelatin like a grape then a kiwi. You eat the seeds and all. Very easy to peal. This fruit will also help to keep you regular. :-)

It depends on what you are buying if it is fresher at the market or the grocery store. It is cheaper at the market then the grocery store.

Yes, you walk up the spiral and the stores are all around the edge. It’s easy to get disoriented because it all looks the same. And it’s like, “Now which part of the spiral was that store?” I thought I’d share because it is a different concept.

It started around 4:45 pm to about 6:15 pm. Now, here in Ecuador, the sun goes down between 6 and 6:30 every night of the year. We have approximately 12 hours light, 12 hours dark year round. So, that was good but with the traffic lights not working, the traffic was grid lock, even after the lights came on. It took us over an hour to go down a hill that would normally take us 5 min. Also, as we were coming down the hill and the lights had come back on. I really needed to use a restroom. Well above is the KFC that we were slowly passing. Well I finally had to run in and up stairs. Used the restroom and went back out to the car and they had moved 1 car length.

Michele had dropped off Karen and I and almost made it to her house before the lights went out again in Quito. It was about 7. I was the first to get my power back on at about 8:30 pm. Then Michele around 10 pm and Karen around 10:30 pm.

They say it had to do with a lightning strike. Pretty powerful lightning to take out 70 % of a country.

She was going for the Assemblies of God, Sierra district council. There is also an LACC (Latin American ChildCare) school there. Karen had some gifts to give, so she came with us. We make it a girls over night. We are also able to do some sight seeing which was a fun thing.

It was fun being on the coast. These are some boats they were making along the shore. The Missionaries we stayed with have an apartment that over looks the harbor. So, it was fun to watch the boats. I was also excited to go walk on the beach a couple of the days. :-D

So you can’t forget if they are good or not. I noticed at Christmas there was the message “Feliz Navidad” and the ones above say “Happy New Year” which is what feliz año nuevo means. Another thing about eggs here. They are kept unrefrigerated. They are sold straight from the shelf and people don’t put them in the fridge here. Interesting facts. :-D
