The Worlds Fair Pavilion
Looking to the Northwest over P-D Lake, the Grand Basin and most of the Norman Probstein golf course, The World’s Fair Pavilion occupies a lofty position on Government Hill in the center of Forest Park. One hundred years old this year, it was built with proceeds from the 1904 World’s Fair and refurbished in 1998. The Fountain and hillside below it have just been rebuilt, and this is the first time I’ve had a chance to really investigate it.
It’s a great building, commanding a magnificent view. Here is my exploration of its premises.
