Why ‘Echosounder’?
The word ‘Echosounder’ came to me in my sleep, strangely enough - but I saw instantly that it describes what I do best: helping people to look below the surface of their lives, and to see that it’s all right to do so.
Of course, there may be a few sharks, undercurrents or even wrecks down there (we all have them) but there is also treasure, if we dare to look. And by ‘treasure’, I don’t mean a New-Age fuzzy glow of self-worth, but real treasure: purpose, meaning, creativity, peace, presence...
Over a coffee one day, a seemingly successful businessman admitted that he’d lived the whole of his life ‘on the surface’. He wished he hadn’t spent so much of his life skimming it like a water-boatman. I think we all feel that, to an extent.
So, if you’d love to become part of the solution in life (instead of the problem), try my taster course in echosounding! If you’re through with comparing yourself endlessly with others (and finding yourself wanting, wanting, wanting!), this is for you. If you’d like to release more of your creativity, or discover some peace, or find the higher cause you wish to serve in life, then contact me now on the address above.
“The heart of a person is like deep water, but a person of understanding draws it out.’ Proverbs 20.5
“So many of us today live lives of wounded fragmentation. We long for what the poet TS Eliot called a ‘further union, a deep communion’, but we find little resource within our ego-bound selves or within the existing symbols or institutions of our culture… SQ is the intelligence that rests in that deep part of the self that is connected to wisdom from beyond the ego, or conscious mind; it is the intelligence with which we not only recognise existing values, but with which we creatively discover new values.” Danah Zohar
“I see all this potential, and I see it squandered… slaves with white collars… Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives.” Tyler Durden in Fight Club
“When the forms of an old culture are dying, the new culture is created by a few people who are not afraid to be insecure.” Rudolph Bahro
