This site is a tribute to The Scooter Hut of Jacksonville Beach, Florida that was open from July 1, 2003 to Early February of 2007.

The Scooter Hut was a labor of love for both Theresa Lapolla & Jon Anderson who took their love for scooters and decided to open a scooter shop so that they could share their interest with the public.  They owned The Scooter Hut from the beginning to June 2006.

The Scooter Hut was eventually sold to Tracey & Scott Hoey which ran it from July 2006 until it went out of business in February 2007.

From the humble beginnings in a 400 sq. foot site on 214 2nd Avenue South and 2nd Street where they sold their first scooters and made their first rentals from July 2003 to October 2003 to the new site at 754 Third Street South from November 2003 to February 2007, The Scooter Hut gave the enjoyment of scootering to many people of all ages whether it was a fun scooter rental for sightseeing the beaches of Jacksonville or the joys of ownership even to people as far away as central Georgia.

I hope that this site gives people who might have gotten pleasure from any of the products or services from The Scooter Hut a smile for the memories they made.
