OK fans, I think the blog is moving, so pay attention. We’re getting ready to go on a little trip and it’s giving me the incentive to move the blog to a place where I can add some stuff from the road. I haven't figured out Blogger yet, so be patient.

A long time ago, I came up with the title of my first book - Three Day Weekend. I have no idea what it will be about, actually haven't thought about it in years, but now it’s my blog name on blogspot.

I also remembered the first line...”She couldn’t speak.” That’s all I’ve got so far.

it’s obviously not a biography.

Movie Madness - Sugar

I love baseball, seems like such a civilized game. Sugar was a great story - making your dreams come true kind of story, but then maybe facing reality in the end and living happily with that - so hard to do. There was a moment in the last scene when Sugar seemed disappointed with his own outcome, but then ultimately connected the dots and turned it around- how many of us can do that?

Happy, happy day! Shana told me she was going to hang around in Tucson all weekend and get ready for her last final on Wednesday, but she hopped in a car heading north on Friday night and came home instead. Thank God. Empty Nestland is hard enough to live in without spending Mother’s Day apart. We had an amazing lunch at Fogo De Chao with my mom and Shawn. That place is incredible - adorable Brazilian guys in gaucho pants swarming the table with huge knives and lots of meat! All kinds of meat - lamb, filet mignon, chicken wrapped in bacon, ribs, and more, more, more, more, more - it just kept coming. All the meat eaters at the table said it was the best ever (I’m in no danger of starving to death, but did just fine since the rest of the stuff was delish, too). Watched a little Saturday Night Live with my mom (love the DVR!) while Shana decided to clean her room - filling up the hallway with four...and counting...garbage bags full of donations. And I didn’t even have to ask! Best Mother’s Day present ever!
