...History

This vision of The DreaMakers Center came as the result of a class that Loree took with Michael Beckwith of The Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, California.  The picture and vision came through her as a result of an in-class assignment to find her best way to serve in this lifetime. “How do I best utilize my own life experience to create a better world” Loree asked.  The vision of the unique all-in-one building was instant.  Loree had a strong feeling that she had carried her vision from another life.  In the vision that came through her, the organization of this performing arts school/center and building, felt familiar to her - it was a reconstruction of something that already WAS in another life. Loree researched her own life and history and delved deep into her own existence, both in this life and in others to see how long this concept and desire had been with her.  The epiphany and realization became clear that Loree had been a proponent and advocate of art and its significance for many lifetimes.

In 1999, after the introspective work and research compiled, a 'gathering' happened and the formation of her vision began to take place. The DreaMakers organization was formed in 1998 by a group of five women: Loree Lynn, Genie Casey, Sandy Borgen, Flora Morin, and Cori Holland. They named the organization DreaMakers Center for Aspiring Performing Artists.  In the ensuing months Albert Morris, songwriter and playwright, joined this team as a student and member of the Board of Directors. Now this not-for profit organization was complete! Soon thereafter an old friend and colleague of Loree's, Kay Shepard, came into the picture and offered DreaMakers the use of her property as a center of operations for the continued research of Loree’s dream.

Loree and Kay turned a large Manhattan Beach, California house into the first incarnation of what would become the "Dreamaker Center unique all-in-one building" - an all encompassing center to continue Loree’s researching of what would become DreaMakers defining set of hypotheses:

That ALL people are born with inherent artistic talent.

The question is NOT; Are you an artist?  Loree believes that the question IS; “As an artist, how developed or undeveloped are you?”

Only “Negative Un-re-solved energy stops a person from developing their artistic talents.  Through 30 years of teaching experience, Loree knew that the main block in an artist’s ability to create came solely from that person’s “negative un-re-solved energy.”  This block comes from past events and beliefs, unseen in the present moment, that serve as blocked energy that keeps people from moving forward and creating.

That unique all-in-one program, under one roof, would be a valuable and much needed commodity.

In the next five years, Loree researched and ultimately proved her hypothosis.  Through classes, seminars and counseling Loree successfully developed the artistic personalities of hundreds of students, from all walks of life – regardless of their perceived ability or level of training.  Through the “mini” DreaMakers Center prototype facility, Loree also provided students with a recording studio, rehearsal space and a small 99 seat theatre to perform their finished works.

From Seed planted to dream realized.

To date, DreaMakers has had many accomplishments:
