An Open Letter to

Ellen Degeneres

Dear Ellen,

I have huge news: On April 12, 2008 I was waiting tables in Beverly Hills and struggling

to pay my rent.  On April 13th I sold a TV pilot to FOX.  As you know,

there is no such thing as an “over-night success”, and my story is no exception.  But this

letter isn’t about me – it’s about my coach Loree Lynn, the founder of Dreamakers

Center for Aspiring Performing Artists, a Non Profit Organization.

Ellen, you have always been a champion for the “underdogs” in the world, just as Loree

Lynn has been a champion for aspiring artists who, without assistance, might never

express their artistic voice.

I came to Loree five years ago, depressed and emotionally bankrupt.  My aspirations to

become a professional writer seemed wildly out of reach and unrealistic.  What Loree

does through her Dreamakers Center is work holistically: defining an artist’s goals,

dissolving their creative stops through counseling and drug treatment, developing and

eventually marketing the artist.

Loree has been able to work MIRACLES in small spaces, most of the time out of her

home: turning garages into music rooms and extra bedrooms into rehearsal areas.  But

what she really needs is funding to renovate an existing building or funding for a new

building to continue Dreamakers work on a larger scale.

Loree has “art in her blood”.  She comes from a family of artists, her mother was an

actress and radio personality and her father was president of Chicago Musicians Union

and played with artists like Glenn Miller.  At the age of ten, Loree was diagnosed with

polio and has spent the last fifty-five years rehabilitating artists from her wheelchair.

She’s been a teacher and coach for the last thirty years and has yet to reach her peak!

Loree has dedicated her life to the study of the Artistic Personality.  Her book: “Fabric

and Anatomy of the Artist: The Significance of Art” (enclosed) illustrates Loree’s

passion and commitment to nurturing and supporting the artists of the world.  She works

diligently to help artists express themselves at their highest personal level, believing: “ If

our planet does indeed need saving, it is the artist that will do it.”

Loree is on her way to having a DreaMaker’s Center in every major city in the country,

but support is needed to fulfill the vision to provide support, training, and resources to

struggling artists everywhere.

An appearance on your show would act as a launching pad to take DreaMakers to a

whole new level.

The DreaMakers Center is important, impactful and desperately needed.  This program

serves not only artists but the community at large.  Please take a moment to look at what

this amazing visionary has designed.  It’s only the beginning.  With the necessary funds to renovate or build a Dreamakers building in Los Angeles the expansion of a society

flourishing with dynamic, productive artists can begin immediately....

Artfully,

Amanda Pomeroy
