Today we arrived in Grand Cayman - it was a beautiful, sunny day and we were both very excited about our excursion planned for today - Grand Cayman’s famous Stingray City!!  We started with breakfast at Topsiders and then headed our for our morning excursion.

We tendered to the island, and then boarded a bus to the boat that would take us out to Stingray City. As we left, we saw lots and lots of iguanas lining the channel.

It took about 25 minutes to motor out to the sandbar, and we geared up and quickly entered the water. They had a guide and a photographer with us that took photos of us with the stingrays.  We had taken disposable underwater cameras with us - and we both snapped a fair number of photos.

It was a wonderful excursion!!! It was really really neat. I’ve been around stingrays before of course, but never in the wild like this and not this calm. Note that I did not say tame - these rays are WILD and I would never forget that.

We left the water after about 45 minutes and then headed back to town on the boat.  We got back to town, did a little tshirt shopping, and then headed back to the ship for lunch and a SPA TREATMENT!!!
